Hi, I’m Jenny and I am the king of broken promises. I really meant to update but on top of schoolwork, I joined and signed up for 324987 things clubs and activities since the beginning of the school year, so it’s kept me pretty busy. _<' class='wp-smiley' />

Not going to lie and say that I'll be here regularly but I will try my best to update and return comments and things like that.

I just updated my portfolio with a couple things and am planning to add more.

The Duck Face

You know that face that girls pull when they’re taking a picture of themselves? Where they half-pucker their lips? The face that resembles this:

I realize this isn’t the best drawing in the world with the ugly smudging , the strangely colored bathroom, the creepy-looking hand… I did this in like 5 minutes

I really don’t understand why tons of girls (and some guys!?) do this. I JUST DON’T GET IT. It doesn’t make you look more attractive. It doesn’t thin your face. It doesn’t make your lips look fuller. It does not define your cheekbones. It doesn’t do anything but make you look dumb.

PS: I just realized the picture makes no sense since the mirror is behind her. LOL

School

I’m just about finished with my first week of school. Let me start by saying that the first few real school days were pretty overwhelming. I had to figure out where all my classes were, make new friends because I didn’t know anyone there, and wake up a bazillion hours earlier than I was used to in the summer.

My first day was basically freshman orientation. We had an assembly and then were put in our homeroom where we played those awkward icebreaker games.

My second day was really more like a first day at school because all the upperclassmen started showing up and I actually had to look for my classes. Luckily, most of my classes are pretty much next to each other so I don’t even have to get lost to find them!

I have four classes everyday, so each one is I think 90 minutes long. This is the average amount of time for a class but for some reason, I feel like each class is 65 million years long. Here are my classes:

Algebra 2
Advisory (Tues & Thur)
Graphic Design
Lunch, which is the best part of ~~the day~~ any day
Spanish 1
English Honors (Mon, Wed, & Fri)
Humanities Honors (Tues & Thur)

I’ve always liked algebra.. more than geometry anyways. I hated proofs. I really hated proofs. My algebra teacher is okay, but I feel like he’s not very organized. My middle school math teacher was extremely organized and she planned class time by the minute. This guy kind of just jumps around during lessons.

Advisory isn’t exciting, but it’s a short period so I don’t really mind. It’s homeroom, for those of you that don’t know.

We haven’t actually done anything in Graphic Design but I’m excited for when we do! We’re going to work in Illustrator, InDesign, and of course, Photoshop.

Spanish is fun! I took French lessons when I was like 5 (ahem, I'm obviously a very cultured human being) and even though I don't really remember the language, I can still remember the French cognate when I see a Spanish word. Also, my Spanish teacher makes us sing songs. Not like nationally popular Spanish songs but like the Spanish alphabet to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat. And she makes us go outside and stand in a circle and sing them.

English and humanities are cool. My English teacher is pretty awesome and funny. My humanities teacher is alright too. Except she doesn't say hi to me when I walk in the door. I mean, I say hi to her with the biggest smile and she doesn't even look at me. I NEED A RESPONSE BECAUSE I NEED YOU TO LIKE ME!!!!!!!!1111 #teacherspet

I’m going to go sleep now, since I haven’t really done that in a week.

I’m probably the laziest website owner ever. I haven’t really done anything with Imajenation since April and even before that, I didn’t update since November. During the summer, I kept procrastinating everything. It wasn’t until about mid-August I decided that getting Imajenation together would be a good idea.

SO YAY IMAJENATION IS MOSTLY COMPLETE AND OPEN!

And hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I’m entering high school tomorrow (YES, I AM A FRESHMAN, I’M SORRY). That’s a big reason why I wanted to get my site up by today because I felt bad about doing absolutely nothing all summer about Imajenation until about two weeks ago. And I wanted to be able to blog about my first day at school; I’m really excited. I’m supposed to have some awesomely fantastic classes.

It is ~~a new school~~ a new ENOR-MONGOUS (that’s enormous and humongous. That’s right, the school’s so big, you need to combine two adjectives to describe it) school. I don’t know too many people who are also going there but hopefully I’ll see a couple familiar faces. I’m mostly scared of getting lost in the woods near the school on my way out to the portables and getting eaten by some hungry beast.

And yeah.

Also, if you have any issues with my layout or the site, please tell me. For example, if the colors are blinding you (especially those footer boxes), or if the something’s wrong with the scrolling (I noticed a lot of that) or anything really, please let me know! I’m aware this layout is really bright and image-heavy, which was a mistake on my part!

PS: WordPress thinks this post was published at 2:46am but it was really published 2:46pm.. anyone know how to fix that? It’s not that important but yeah, it’s bugging me.
